GATHERING AGAIN - IT IS TIME, WE'RE READY
/Dear Coast Church Family,
We miss you. This shutdown has affected us all in so many different ways and we have done our best to serve you remotely. After much prayer, counsel, and consideration for everyone’s safety…it is time for us to begin gathering again.
If you’ve been to the Coast House before COVID19 you know that we’ve been at capacity and actively searching for a new building to make room for growth. No doors have opened yet but we will be “making room” by holding multiple gatherings.
THIS SATURDAY 5/9, we will be gathering at 6:30pm and THIS SUNDAY 5/10, we will be gathering at 10:00am. We welcome EVERYONE to be here with us and trust that this is the best thing we can do right now, in spite of all that is going on. We hope and pray that this will be the start of a time of spiritual healing, renewal, joy, and a kindling of the fire of the Holy Spirit in your life.
Assembling together as a community of believers is a constitutional right in our country. With respect and humility we are choosing to move forward with exercising that right. After nearly two months of taking precautions and not assembling together, this weekend we honor the Scripture found in Hebrews 10:25 once again by - “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together…”
In the Lord’s Service,
Pastor Scott A. Shoemake & the Coast Family
P.S. A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER:
-we will be practicing safety and have several precautionary measures in place such as: seating together as family groups/individuals only, extra cleaning/disinfecting of high-touch surfaces, no Coast Kids class this weekend, hand sanitizer available, and a temporal scan thermometer check (masks are not required but feel free to wear them if you feel to).
-if you, or anyone in your household has, or recently had a fever, of flu-like symptoms, please participate online only at this time.
-please practice safety by giving as much space as possible to everyone, including giving others a “wave” instead of handshakes or fist-bumps.
-we understand that many churches are not having “in-person” gatherings yet (although many have not stopped) and we do not want this to be a point of contention with others, we simply believe this is the time for us (in our city/county/context) to move forward.
